Defining Growth Hormone

By:

Growth hormone is a single chain poly-peptide. It's composed of 191 amino acids and is responsible for stimulating growth. It is also responsible for cell regeneration function. It is produced, stored and secreted by the pituitary gland.

The production of growth hormone is natural in both animals and humans. Growth hormone (and growth hormone formulas) can be created outside of the human body in lab settings. The production of the hormone and similar homeopathic formulas make increased use for medical treatment possible. Treatment can alleviate a wide variety of conditions and/or symptoms. It is often used as an anti-aging device as well as a weight loss tool.

Benefits possible through effective use of growth hormone products as treatment include: increase in bone density, decrease in body fat, leaner muscle mass, increased skin health, increase in the health of sexual function, increased immune system health, etc.

Growth hormone has a very complex makeup. So it's not surprising that the list of benefits is long and varied. Due to the complexity of the hormone design it's also not surprising that many believe the list of benefits is not even complete yet. Many benefits have already been identified, but there are still more that are still unknown.

General health is benefitted by appropriate hormone levels; and particularly growth hormone levels. But while appropriate levels are beneficial...excessive levels have negative effects. One of the most common is the pituitary tumor. It's made up of somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary. The pituitary tumor is slow growing and benign. They gradually produce more growth hormone as well. It can eventually grow large enough to cause additional problems: severe headaches, vision problems, and additional hormonal deficiencies.

Long term growth hormone excesses can result in a thickening of the jaw bones, fingers and toes (referred to as acromegaly). Excessive growth hormones results in a variety of symptoms including: carpal tunnel syndrome, sweating, excessive sex hormone binding globulin, type 2 diabetes, weakness of the muscles, diminished sexual function, insulin resistance and more.

Deficiencies have recognizable symptoms as well. The age of the individual determines which symptoms present in many cases. Children affected by growth hormone deficiencies experience limited growth resulting in short stature. They can also experience limited sexual maturity.

Adults with GH deficiency are far more rare than children with the condition. The condition is most often caused in adults by pituitary adenoma. Additional possible causes include: trauma, a continuation of a childhood problem, or structural lesions.

Both an excess and a deficiency in growth hormone (GH) will require treatment. In addition to traditional GH treatment benefits homeopathic growth hormone formula offers additional benefits: anti-aging and increased general health being the most well known.
