Deepak Chopra Llc Promotes Tranquility Through Xbox 360, Wii

By:

Deepak Chopra is a man of spiritual awareness and varied interests, but they all revolve around one thing; the human condition and the teachings of Maharishi. He has successfully created many mediums to spread his message, all which fall under his Deepak Chopra Limited Liability Company.

So how, one might ask, could Mr. Chopra bring his spiritual awareness to the masses through a video game, which are notoriously known for fast action and violence? Precisely because of that fact, he related recently. Hoping to combine the fun of gaming with the relaxation of meditation, he created a new game he calls 'Leela'. It will run on two different gaming systems, the Xbox 360 and also the very popular Wii. It's expected to be more of a total experience, rather than just another game. The name of the game stands for 'play' in Sanskrit.

According to Deepak, we all have seven chakras corresponding to different energy centers on our body. The game will teach people what and where these chakras are, using interactive body movements which control movement on the playing screen.

His new game will teach the art of meditation, which most people regard as a New Age tool. But it actually goes way back to ancient times and is just about as old as humanity itself. Deepak says he personally believes that brain activity can be enhanced and that biological evolvement can happen faster through the use of video games. The problem is that the majority of games on the market today are violent and aggressive. He hopes to change that.

This was really quite a hard game to make, says Chopras' partner Peter Armstrong, who is a director at THQ, another limited liability company. The new game is scheduled to hit store shelves on November 8th, in the U.S.

But perhaps the idea of Deepak in the game design business isn't so hard to believe, if you look back to his earlier pursuits with his son Gotham Chopra in 2006. The two joined forces with a friend named Richard Branson, and started their own comic book and trading card business.

Virgin Comics, LLC was designed to bring peace and awareness to people through a non-traditional form that was fun. Chopra hopes to go even farther bringing new awareness this time with his latest creation, Leela.

Deepak is no stranger to the social network scene, having his own profiles on the three largest; Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. This will surely help the new game become popular with the a wide audience.

But if the new game Leela turns out to be a flop, Deepak Chopra can always return to book writing. He has more than fifty-five books out already, many which have wound up on the bestsellers list. He writes both fiction and non-fiction.
