If you have someone else to help you out with the children on that special day, you may provide a special treat for the children, in the form of an art session. Ideally, this person is handy with art-work. Think of something that will be interesting for the children and can be handled on that day, to be carried out. Use the internet for lots of ideas. When your helper has decided on a specific activity to do, prepare the required materials. On that day, your helper will teach and assist the children on that activity. The result would be the art-work that they can take home. Most parents will be appreciative of this too, as it is something very useful to do. Though games will take up more space, will create noise and will be difficult to manage; still some games can be organized for the children. However if you are good at art, you can surely go for an art session. It all depends upon the age of the children. You may still choose to have an are session if you have the correct idea to employ which appeals the children and obviously that can be done on that day. Keep enough time as buffer for your ideas to be applied effectively.
