Deceptions - Case Number 003 Message Board Blasters

By:

In this post we will look at the next of the deceptions, which is message boards, and message borad blaster software. You may have used this advertising technique yourself some where in the past? You may have started with manually posting, them realizing how long it would take, again... wasting your time on something that has no affect on generating website traffic, then you may have upgraded to a message board submission software to automate the process.

As you read all of my post written on these subjects related to failed marketing, you may wonder what my motives are. Before I begin my rant on messages boards, I would like to explain.

I have been living the lie of being a Internet Marketer for many years. I wanted to learn how to market and make some money online, but I never made more three hundred dollars in one year. You may be laughing right now, falling back off your desk chair, but this is not to be funny at all. I have listened to others, trying desperately to find even one technique I could both afford, manage, and then make money with. And to this day, it seems the cards are staked, and point to those who have both the insider knowledge and the money to do real advertising.

As for my motive in telling others these things? I want to make it very clear to anyone else online that gets bitten by the internet marketing, home-based business bug, that if they are not already in business, know anything about advertising and marketing, then they may want to re-consider their urge to do so. I can honestly say I know a lot today about marketing, much more than I would had ever dreamed I would just a few years ago. But Mostly what has happened, is I spent a lot of time learning things that were a waste of time and money.

Along the journey, learning how to advertise, for the most part... generating website traffic, I went from one method to the next. Many called for learning not only how it was done, but setting up a system that also took precious time away from actually doing anything to generate website traffic.

Message board marketing is another one of the deceptions. It is one of many deceptions used to keep people busy. We are going to take a close look at this deception, and you decide how it works. And for information, I have tried all of these things, and know for a fact what they do, and do not.

The first time a newbie hears that message boards can help generate some website traffic, they usually do a web search, go to a few message boards and manually post a few messages. A few days later, they find they did not get any replies, no sales, nothing! So the newbie may go back and do a few more serches to see what went wrong.

This time the newbie finds a few articles on using message boards and soon learns that it take many post, not ten ro twenty, but hundreds, or even thousands to hopefully get noticed. So the newbie does a search and list hundreds of message boards in a text file. After several hours later, they start to visit each of the message boards in their list starting from the top.

By the time they get a quarter of the way down the list they start to realize how long this is going to take. Besides that, most mewbies are in multiple affiliate programs or a MLM, and can not figure out which link to advertise. It's a bit confusing... "Do I advertise the products, or the opportuntiy?" To do both, one would have to complete the message board list over a second time. And the newbie is all but given up on the first attempt.

So ther newbie gets a bit fristrated. The may go off and start looking at other opportunities that seem to coax them back into the game. So now they have been talked back into trying their luck at an internet vusiness, they go back to a web search where they find more articles on advertising and learn that there is a better way to post messages on message boards.

It's called... "Message Borad Blaster Software". Basically all the newbie needs, as the sales pitch states, is to buy this software and they could post to thousands of nessage boards with the click of a button! That would take care of that meaningless task! So the newbie, depending on their desire and drive has three choices. They either buy the software, lok for another web traffic generation technique, or they quit.

If the newbie has followed any marketing guru's advice by way of cassette tapes, video, e-book, or printed book, which always states not to give up, but to spend more and waste more time in their loop of deceptions... the newbie will buy the software.

Similar to that of article marketing, there are many websites that accept message board post. One can figure that the software makers are the same ones who write the scripts for the message boards. This helps the owner of the websites that add the CGI Scripts to their sites, just like those that use article submission. While others write articles, basically doing the hard wirk, then they post it on someone elses website, it gives the site owner free content that builds their website, and not that of the authors.

So while these software programs and the techniques being taught to the newbie seem logical to the newbie, they basically keep them busy in the learning process while the real marketers are siting back taking the credit. The newbie does not know what to do, so they trust others. This seems a bit idiotic considering they are expecting an individual that is very good at talking people out of their money is going to be honest and trusrworthing in telling them how to make money.

How many sale people do you know that seem like a good person to get facts from? Unless they are trying to sell you something? One of the deceptions most people fail to recognize! People who may be making money are not going to willing tell you how they do it. They most lieky would want to tell you the wrong way to go about it, in order to keep you in the dark.

The deceptions contunue! In multilevel marketing they found that many of their newer members we not sale people, yet they had the haunting question of how to make money off of these people. Since MLM had gotten a bad name years ago, they decided to mastermind a new concept. This new concept was like, selling without actually selling, and they called it, Network Marketing.

Network marketing opened the door to the next phase in making money off the uneducated for these tight groups of individuals. It lead to the birth of social networking and social websites. Here networker's could all gather and advertise their opportunities to each other. They told them that it would be the next big thing in marketing.

The problem was... as in this example, say you have an opportunity you really liked. And then hundred of others felt the same way about their opportunity and products, how could, or would this booast your sales? Doesn't it seem like your working the wrong crowd? You would not go to a guy that owns a car they love, and then expect to talk them into buying one that your selling they do not like or want. Is this a targeted market?

The site owners, as well as those behind the scam tell people that because your all interest in business opportunties, it's considered a great place to market. But the way I see it, again, is a distraction. Social netwrking sites allow their memebrs to upload their photos, their BIO, their videos and more. And while all the mebers are doing that, they are taking away time from real marketing.

I hope your starting to see my point. These things are deceptions. They waste your time, but barely do they profit. I have done that myself. And trying to keep up with all of your netwroking task, freind request, contacting prospects... it all is a lot of work with little return. Hey! there is a few software programs for that as well!

So you buy that software, and then so do all of your networking buddies, and you all simply send automated post and junk to the server... and that makes you wealthy! Right?

Deceptions like the mesasge blaster software are a real blast!
