De-mystifying The Perceptions Of Two Person Hot Tubs

By:

The hot tub was first brought to people's attention on in the 1960's when the hippy era began and life for young people changed from dull and boring into the psychedelic swinging times when everyone let their hair down and used every possible opportunity to have fun!

Their world was liberated and an 'anything goes' attitude was adopted by people across the modern world! People took every opportunity to 'be free' and many hippies built their own versions of hot tubs from old wooden wine vats.

Then came the seventies and the introduction of pre-made hot tubs was just one commodity which people associated with unmarried couples and play boys using them purely as a romping ground! Health warnings were hitting the headlines as people used their hot tubs after, or during, excess alcohol consumption and drug taking which led to disastrous results for many people. Studies and research into the use of communal facilities were also undertaken with some researchers claiming that diseases such as herpes or Pontiac fever could be caught by sharing a dirty communal hot tub, this being despite the fact that outdoor lidos and public swimming baths were still extremely popular and also used by multiple people!

Manufacturers soon realised that the public's attention needed to be brought to the health and beneficial properties that relaxing and de-stressing in a hot tub offers. Advances were made in the water purification systems to entice people back into hot tubs which formerly were so full of chemicals that people were turned off by the smell as well as the lurid tales which had been rumoured. Non chlorine bromide sanitisers were introduced, as well as ozone generators, ionizers and other low-odour cleaning devices to restore the public's conceptions of the cleanliness of hot tubs. As such the market for hot tubs began to boom again and the birth of a new era of clean, safe and affordable hot tubs have seen the industry move from strength to strength.

In the 1990's people's attention was drawn to the harmful side effects which many of the de-stressing medications, prescribed by doctors or brought over the counter, could induce. People began to turn back to natural remedies and alternative therapies to help them cope with hectic lifestyles to unwind and de-stress after a long hard day at work. Hot tubs are now considered to be one of the most natural and effective ways of relaxation. Manufacturers have made hot tubs of all sizes to accommodate even the smallest of gardens or homes and people now regard their hot tub as an essential part of daily living due to their versatility and ease of use throughout the year.

Hot tubs can be placed virtually anywhere in a garden as they all have covers which prevents leaves and debris drifting into them. Most people prefer to place them in gazebos or on their decking to provide them with the sanctuary, peace and relaxation in surroundings which are as close to nature as possible. Two person hot tubs are considered the ideal place to sit and relax with a partner after work or at weekends and being hailed the perfect solution to bringing back the art of conversation into people's lives.
