A lot of things in your life can overwhelm you fast, you don't even have a single idea that they are already ruining your chances of success and living a good life.

When the going gets tough, you tend to succumb to the pressure of everyday challenges and one of the reasons of such weakness is the clutter surrounding you.

Even if you think it's outrageous, there are certain things in your home and life that are holding you back and overwhelming you.

As a consequence, you are made to fail. So here are some of those things that you need to identify and eventually address:

Email inbox - take a week without opening your inbox. After that period, open it and you'll find thousands of messages, majority of which are spam. In this world of technological advancement, emails are making you insane. The best way to clear your mind of it is simply clearing you inbox with no single hesitation.

Trash - if only you can reduce your trash to zero, then life is always good. Of course, that's not really possible. The best thing you can do is practice the reduction of waste materials as much as possible. Ever heard of reduce, reuse, and recycle?

Laundry Mess - piles of laundry will certainly give you a bad day, especially when you run out of clothes to wear. If you're doing your own laundry, the best solution is to do some every other day or perhaps schedule two sessions in a week.

Pets - if you're fond of dogs and cats at home, there's no problem with that. But if they begin to create a mess inside and you don't have time to deal with it, what naturally happens is that you'll be overwhelmed and become stressed. To address this problem, you simply cannot throw your pets away. What you need to do is allot some time in taking care of them. Don't make excuses, do it if you love them.

Working at Home - are you always preoccupied with your job even if you're home? If this is the case, don't think that you're closer to success. People who bring their work at home are likely to get more overwhelmed and fail. Remember that your family is your first priority and you're not giving them a favor if you are making your home your second office.

To-Do List - making to-do lists is a good way to organize your schedule and tasks each day. But what makes it a burden for you is when you always fail to finish the things you're writing in it. It means that if you end the day failing to do one out of four tasks, you get concerned. So the best thing to do is ensure you're strictly following what's written in your to-do list.

De-clutter your Desk - even if it's your bedroom desk or office desk, you have to make sure that it's arranged properly so that you will not be spending too much time and effort looking for little things that seem to be not there but actually are. If you're feeling a bit tired at the first hour of work, the reason may be your disorganized and messy desk.

Bad Food - Ice cream, coffee, meat, sugar, and all those cravings you have can overpower your health and put you at risk. What to do about it? Avoid them - simple as that. Or at least minimize.
Lack of Storage - because you always fancy bringing and buying new stuff for your house, there comes a period where you run out of storage. Try to find some areas like under the stairs where you can put some of the things you need to set aside.

Wires - every household these days have various electronic devices like television sets, computers, entertainment systems, and others. What makes all of this stuff a burden are the wires. While we usually ignore seeing them, it actually stressing to see them disorganized. So the best thing to do is organize them properly by using tie wires and anything that can bind them.

Paper Clutter - paper is the epitome of mess and chaos. At home, allot a storage cabinet intended solely for paper and documents. It's just to straining to see them all over the place.

Old Appliances and Electronics - who would want to have two microwave ovens in the kitchen or an old TV sitting beside the LED? Get rid of those electronics you don't need. You can keep them in your storage place instead or perhaps have a garage sale.

Stress - but the number one thing that overcomes you and your life is stress. Remember that whatever problems and issues you encounter; you must be able to handle them with ease and calm. Do not let stress consume you and your hope of success in life.
