David Versus Goliath

David Versus Goliath

By:

Big business and independent businesses have always been in a state of contention since the 1750s, which historians refer to as the Industrial Revolution. One of the problems that confront those small organizations, which wish to compete well against their larger much more wealthy opponents, is capital. While large-scale corporations are able to contribute large sums of money to the projects such as research and development, management, and advertisement, many small business-owners are restrained by very inelastic budgets. Despite this extremely wide gulf of disparity between the financial resources of independent and corporate commercial ventures, many small business leaders have begun to employ a time-tested strategy of multilevel marketing to increase their chances of high profits. This strategy allows small business-owners who represent the same company at the local level to join forces and pool their resources. In the twenty-first century, software designers have added their own assistance and ideas to this pool of resources, creating multi level marketing software. Many types of this software are in circulation at the present time. For instance, party plan software and direct sales software are primarily concerned with creating a stable computer-based environment where ideas and information such as sales-techniques, inventories, and sales-information can be shared instantaneously between cooperative business-leaders. This ability has greatly increased the profitability and effectiveness of MLM-based businesses.

However, the widespread use of computers, internet-capable cell phones, and smart tablets have exposed an Achilles"" heel in the computer-based MLM system. This major weakness stems from the nature of the technology being used. While software designers have made a herculean effort in ensuring the security of the computer-systems used and their associated programs, anything that is created by man can be manipulated or bypassed by a man. Therefore, no system or program is totally secure. Anyone who says different is undoubtedly selling something. While many software companies that are associated with MLM programs are concerned with the previously discussed commercial abilities of programs, others have begun to develop programs such as firewalls, malware and viral scanners to increase the durability and survivability of MLM programs. At the same time, these programs are intended to secure sensitive information from prying eyes.

These types of security programs are not available from all MLM software-providers. Therefore, any small business owner who participates in MLM-based operations should seriously research any prospective purchases of MLM security-software, by opening dialogues with representatives of various companies, which traffic in mlm software, and also conduct in-depth internet research on prospective candidates. While security-software is developed daily, and computer-based criminals develop new countermeasures to it at nearly the same rate, David, the small business, can be assured that MLM security-software will keep Goliath, the larger corporations, at bay.
