As guys, we all know what it's like to get tossed into the friend zone so quick it can make your head spinning. When that happens, you are probably left wondering what you should have and could have done differently. Don't beat yourself up too much. Chances are, you have been given the typical dating advice for guys that says that you should treat a woman like a really good friend, and eventually she will fall for you. Well, if you don't know by now, that is a load of feel good garbage.

Truth is, you have to take a whole different route if you want to make a woman want you as more than just a friend. Treat her like a friend of yours and that is all that she will ever be. Discover how to spark something more, and you just might end up with a girlfriend instead.

Here's some real world dating advice for guys that will make her want you as more than just a friend:

1. When you first approach her, you have to give her a sign that you are not looking for a friend.

While you don't want to make it too obvious that you want her as more than a friend, you have to give her some indication. This is when you kind of have to walk a balance, because if you come off as too desperate for something more than friendship, that will end up turning her off to you. At the same time, you can't come across like just a nice guy who wants to be her friend, either.

2. Play some flirting games with her.

Be fun and relaxed when you flirt with a woman. Being too serious is never a good thing, and when you are too serious, it becomes almost natural for a guy to start acting like a friend. You will start giving her compliments left and right, and you will be too careful about what you say to her. Be playful, don't think too much about whether or not you are saying the right thing or caring too much about what she might think of you.

3. Escalate with her as soon as possible.

One thing that will always keep you in the friend zone is when you are afraid to make a move on her and escalate the attraction to the point where it goes beyond just an interaction and becomes something more. If you wait too long to escalate with a woman, you will undoubtedly end up as being just another guy friend that flirts with her. And women tend to have LOTS of those hanging around.
