Data Entry: Is It A Scam?

By:

Today there are many data entry offer available on the internet today. Are data entry jobs just scams? . Is there really still a way to make money online? Are there real and legitimate home based business options? The answer is that there is But, unfortunately, many people get burnt before finding something that's lucrative and legitimate. Many people give up before finding out that you really can make money through areas such as data entry.

Data-entry offers are not in short supply. The legitimate ones are out there but there are plenty of scams that look like as real opportunities and those numbers are unfortunately greater than the valid opportunities. There's a wide array of people from all walks of life searching the internet daily for ways to extra money on their computer and a myriad of people who take advantage and exploit people and bleed them dry. It's revolting to think that someone would prey on someone's desire to earn a living by appealing to them and taking their money but it's the harsh reality of online scams.

Many data entry scams are also known as type-at-home jobs. The person is told they will make a lot of money by filling out simple forms. At one point in time there was the ability to make money via this medium in affiliate marketing advertisements but due to the evolution you have to do some real studying to make money this way. The offers for this business information is still very abundant in cyberspace. Someone might fall prey to this idea only to find that it would cost them much more than they would earn in affiliate or pay per click earnings.

There still is plenty of money to be made in affiliate marketing but like anything else on the Internet, money making opportunities that are real require you to research and learn the secrets and truths behind the business. There is no free lunch If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme, you aren't likely to find one but you will find plenty of companies looking to scam you into believing that if you pay a price for their knowledge, that you can thousands of dollars very quickly without a lot of effort.

Of course, beginners manuals, even those with inflated promises, usually DO contain a kernel and perhaps a few nuggets of truth. You can use those manuals as a starting point to keep you motivated and offer suggestions as to what to do next. And usually there is a 30 or 90 day refund, so why not?

Are there any real data entry jobs from home? Yes, there. There are many sources online for freelance work, virtual assistant jobs, telecommuters and medical transcription or legal transcription jobs. And, internet marketing is a very lucrative industry.

There are companies who will pay you to do clerical work from home in many business areas as it's very popular to have a mobile workforce in this day and age. And, there are many companies looking to affiliate marketers to sell their wares for high commission rates.

These are really two distinct job descriptions. At home vitual assisting may suit many. A simple Google search will get you started in this field. Basically all you need to be is a decent keyboardist, have reasonably good English skills and some free time. Then you use one of the virtual assistant sites to hook up with jobs.

The other kind of Data Entry from Home work involves typing ads to sell products, usually ebooks, via Pay Per Click advertising, (ex. the Google Ads you see stuck to the side of virtually every web site these days). If you know of a niche product and/or know of some people that might want to buy that product, you can generate ads by typing them out at a Pay Per Click website. Its easy to get started and fun, too. Any sales you get thru the ads will usually generate a commission for you

Plus, often the Pay Per Click companies will offer you $50 or more in free ads just to help you get started. So even if your idea flops, you havent lost anything and, like Thomas Edision, you found out What DIDNT work.

True, there IS a lot of typing of ads involved here, but there is an argument that says this kind of typing is not what most people have in mind when they buy a type from home manual.

In order to differentiate the real opportunities from the type at home scams, you need to do some homework. Its easy to simply Google in the name of the business opportunity and is it a scam or have you tried XYZ Companys Amazing Data Profits program?

Bear in mind that some people may complain simply because they bought the book and then discovered they had to do some work. That is not a valid reason to complain about a program. So long as youve got your money back, there is nothing really to scream about, except that you learned that you usually dont get something for nothing!
