Dart Cricket Easy And Fun

By:

Darts is a very popular pup game, at least that's what our neighbors east of us call them. Here we would call them a bar game.

The problem with regular darts is the inconsistency in beginners; they can be terrible dart players, score a triple twenty on accident and then win the game because of it. Well with cricket, we have eliminated that.

By demanding precession and repetitive precession it weeds out the hack players. So the more experienced player will win, which is fun if you want to improve your skills or test your ability against your friends.

The way it is played is quite different than any other dart game you may be accustomed to. Like suggested in the title, it is much like the pansy English version of baseball.

The board is set up like a box with the numbers fifteen through twenty in rectangular boxes stacked upward on the board. At the top is the twenty at the bottom is the fifteen; below the fifteen is another box that is illustrated with a B.

The B box is known as the bull's eye. The objective of the game is for each player to hit each box that holds a number three times, and then also the bull's eye.

To start each player throws a dart: this is called a diddle. The player who gets closest to the center of the board will play first.

This game is unique in the way that you can play with teams, like you would if you were playing an actual cricket game. You can either have team turns or personal turns.

Either way works and doesn't change the game. Having team is a fun way to make playing darts a lot more exciting.

There are multiple ways to play; you can either play for points or for runs. If you are playing for runs the first team to hit each number three times and then hit the bulls eye three times wins.

However, if you do not hit your mark, this results in a foul dart. A foul will result in the forfeit of your turn no matter how many darts you may have left to pitch.

Playing for points is a bit different. The player must open the number by hitting it three times.

Each player gets five shots. Once he has hit a number three times he may start racking points on it.

However, once his opponent hits the same number it is closed until someone reopens it. Playing for points I find to be a lot more fun, because it requires more skill and strategy.

It isn't like regular darts where you just rack points; you actually are playing against somebody. And your actions affect their score.
