DVLA Swansea announce F prefix number plates release later this year

Well the waiting and the speculation regarding the last remaining Prefix number plate release is over. The DVLA have today announced that in October the 1-20 F prefix private number plates will be released. This represents a unique opportunity to obtain a personalised number plate suitable for any vehicle registered after August 1989.

It is almost certain that the most discerning personalised number plates, private plates, car registration numbers, personal number plates, cherished number plates, DVLA number plates call them what you will, they will be sold almost immediately.

The last release was the E prefix and almost all the private number plates pertinent to people's names, football teams and popular initials changed hands away from the DVLA to new owners on the first day of issue.

DVLA auctions have already seen some of the exceptional F prefix cherished marks fall under the gabble. Examples of F prefix number plates previously sold at DVLA auctions, with the price achieved:

F1 TTY £12,800 September 2006
F1 LMS £11,200 April 1991
F1 GHT £10,000 December 1989
F1 ONA £19,000 December 1991
