It may seem hard to believe that you can cure thrush on your own, but you really can. As a matter of fact; curing thrush naturally in the comfort of your own home is not only possible but easy.

Thrush, which is essentially a yeast infection, can be cured using products found in your own home or the grocery store. Our first instinct may be to head to the doctor or grocery store for pill or cream, but natural remedies like the ones well discuss here have been used for centuries to cure yeast infections of all kindslong before pills or creams.

Curing thrush naturally can be done using yogurt, garlic or apple cider vinegar. The wonderful thing about these cures for thrush is not only that they are natural but also that they help you to cure thrush from the inside out rather than just providing a temporary fix or masking the symptoms, like many conventional treatments do.

Lets take a look at how each remedy can be used for curing thrush;

YOGURT

Live culture yogurt (clearly labelled on the packaging) can be used to soothe the symptoms of thrush as well as cure it. By consuming it on a regular basis you are providing your body with the good bacteria it needs to combat the Candida overgrowth that causes thrush. Also, applying it right on the affected area can provide you with instant relief from the itching and burning associated with thrush.

Being all natural, you can apply it to the skin, mouth, and even the genitals. For oral thrush simply place a tablespoon of the yogurt in the mouth and hold it in there for a couple of minutes. Repeat several times daily.

For vaginal thrush, the yogurt can be applied on the outside of the vagina or used along the inside. Simply apply using your (washed) hands or dip a tampon into the yogurt and set in the fridge for a few minutes so the yogurt sets. The dipped tampon can be inserted and left in for a few hours for maximum relief from the symptoms.

GARLIC

Garlic is a bit of a wonder remedy as it is used for several ailments. As far as curing thrush; fresh garlic can and should be consumed regularly to help your digestion as well as to keep yeast levels in check.

It can also be used to soothe the irritation of thrush by applying it right to the area in question. This can be done using a crushed clove or even garlic oil. In the case of vaginal yeast infections, a garlic clove can be used as a sort of suppository to help cure the infection and provide relief from the symptoms.

Take a peeled clove of garlic, dip it in olive oil and insert into the vagina. Be sure to wear a panty liner or pad since this remedy will produce extra discharge as it heals. This remedy has been shown to cure yeast infections in a matter of a couple of days.

TEA TREE OIL

It should come as no surprise that tea tree oil can be used in curing thrush it seems to work at curing all kinds of things! Simply apply to the affected skin using a cotton ball or swab and feel instant relief from burning, itching and irritation. It can also be combined with distilled water and used as a douche to help with vaginal yeast infections.
