Cure Eczema Naturally Fast

By:

There are generally three types of eczema. These include atopic eczema, dyshidrotic eczema and nummular eczema. Atopic eczema is a chronic, usually recurring condition with "flare-ups". This happens when new patches of eczema appear and they are called remissions when the eczema is not evident.

For an oatmeal bath, just dissolve a half cup of raw oatmeal flakes into a tub of warm water and let your infant soak in it for 15 minutes or so. For oatmeal paste, just take crushed raw oatmeal flakes mixed with a little water and apply to your infants skin. Let it sit on the skin for 15 minutes and rinse with cold water. Both treatment methods help relieve the intense itching caused by eczema and help moisturize the skin, which promotes healing.

Find out if you have any food allergies and eliminate them from your diet. Stop eating any processed or packaged foods as they are have artificial colors and flavorings along with many other chemicals that may cause your eczema to worsen.

Avoid the things that irritate your skin. This is apparently the most simple of the home remedies for eczema but it can be the most difficult to follow. Taking care with the chemical products you use is a good place to start, with many people reporting a decline in their skin inflammation when they switch to a liquid detergent and begin to give their clothes a double rinse.

People suffering from eczema should consult their doctor about types of food to avoid and how to track their diet to find ingredients that may contribute to eczema flare-ups. While diet can help control eczema, changes in diet can take six to eight weeks to have an effect on eczema outbreaks.

Commonly used pure oils used as natural cures for eczema are shea butter, flax seed, olive and coconut oils; these moisturize the skin; contain essential fatty acids, and can be used as base oils for other substances like witch hazel tincture, chamomile, tea tree and neem oils; and turmeric powder. All are used even before any of the drugs today were invented, and proven to relieve and heal skin disorders like eczema. Witch hazel tincture has potent astringent property that shrinks blood vessels, or any inflamed skin cell.

An oatmeal bath is an excellent natural treatment for eczema that also helps to relax you. Colloidal oatmeal baths, such as the one made by Aveeno, or one made of rolled oats from the grocery are great for calming inflamed, itchy skin. Such baths are easy to make. All you need to do is add one or two cups of oatmeal to your lukewarm water and then get in. If you are really itchy, then you will want to add more oats to the bath. After getting out of the bath, you need to use a moisturizer on your damp skin for keeping the moisture in your skin.
