Cuisine And Dining In Cambodia

By:

Taipei dining is loaded with global multiplicity. You can find every conceivable cuisine just around within your reach.

Taiwan locals mostly provide the service and restaurant management for foreign cuisine dining places. Amazingly, they keep up with the standards of international cuisines. While most of Italian restaurants in other parts of the world are owned and managed by Italian immigrants, Taipei people owned many restaurants catering original Italian food like pizza and spaghetti noodles in Taipei. Yet this doesnt mean your dining experience has to be of a less quality and comfort, indeed its worth the price to dine there.

Shilin

Shilin area of Taipei has by far the best options for gastronomes and is known for Shilin Night Market. There are so many dining options here with tastes from the entire region that it is hard to decide where to eat. Tianmu (to the north) has a variety of upscale restaurants and is especially popular with tourists.

Xinyi

Many big attractions are in Xinyi, such as Taipei 101 building and Sun Yat-sen, and it is also one of the top shopping and dining areas in the city. Those with a penchant for American chain restaurants will particularly enjoy Xinyi, while shopping malls come with food courts.

Songshan

Taipeis CBD has more sophisticated and expensive dining. There are plenty of restaurants here that cater to those wealthy and business types and it is also popular with tourists. Establishments are located at Min Sheng East Road and Dun Hua North Road.

Daan

Daan is a buzzing region of downtown Taipei that is partly residential, partly commercial and has lots of shopping and eating along Zhong Xiao East Road. Here there are many coffee shops and snack bars and you will also find top-end, late-night restaurants.

For a cheap way to taste delicious Chinese home cooking, explore some vendor food around the vicinity. Considerably those foods are safe to eat yet if you have sensitive stomach, use common sense deciphering through its name or by its appearance!

Night Market Snacks

Some of the best known night market snacks are: Oyster omelet ( --chian ), Tianbula (Literally Sweet, not spicy, is a Taiwanese version of Tempura), Stinky tofu (chuduf ), Mango ice ( mnggubng ), Pan fried pork buns (shujinbo ), Taiwanese sausage (xingchng ), Pearl milk tea ( zhnzh nich, a classic drink invented by a tea vendor in Taichung, and Braised soy bean and tea eggs ( ldugn, chydn braised soy bean and tea eggs ).

Tipping

While talking about tips, Taiwan dining does not require tipping the waiter. There is no costume for giving a tip here. This is especially the case for casual dining places though some high-class restaurants will include a service charge on the check (bill). Please tip the waiter anyway. It does not need to be the 10-15% tip as it is in American restaurants. In Europe a waiters tip will vary from 6% in German restaurants to 8% in English restaurants and 0% in Spain. It is up to you how much tip you want to give a waiter/waitress in Taipei.
