Diamonds are known to be a girls best friend and mans enemy! A diamond stimulant is such a creation which possesses the same characteristics (gemological). It is different from synthetically made diamond. These stimulants can be artificial natural or even a combination of the two. Cubic Zirconia jewelry is one such stimulant. It should have a marked characteristic of hardness and depression for the gem and not for the payer!

The Zirconia jewelry is catching up. It was first introduced in year 1976 and it dominated the market very easily. Even now it is one of the most economical and gemological important stimulant. It is different from Zirconium as this one is skull crucible or cold crucible treated. And that is what makes it possible to draw it into jewelry. There are various formulations of CZ jewelry. And these variations turn its optical properties as well as physical. While this jewelry is visually close to a diamond and can easily fool anyone who is not used to diamonds regularly, there are some hints to identify this jewelry. Unlike diamond, this is so brittle that everyday use can cause scratch to it.

Whereas most diamonds give you a yellowish tint internally, this jewelry is white or transparent inside. It is colorless inside and one cannot detect the flaw by naked eyes. This stone is used in jewelry a lot and sold in large numbers due to its low price tag and pricey looks. Only a thermal ray can find out the real gem.

In the Late twentieth century the jewelry industry decided to campaign the jewelry in a way to popularize it. They launched a campaign of wedding rings for men which were an instant hit. Few months later, it was for their engagement which was not as popular!

The history of jewelry is old and long and has given different important insights in to working of ancient culture. The Indian continent has the oldest and most continuous legacy of making jewelry. China is also an equivalent holding a history of 5000 years. India became the first country even to dig out diamond. Though diamond business was lost due to Christianity and Arabians restricting it, but jewelry traditions and a large variety of designs are still wanted at large in Indian weddings. Cubic Zirconia rings are yet another attraction of this jewelry. With ever increasing population, not everyone can afford diamonds.
