Credit Repair Letter - Why And How?

By:

What is a credit repair letter and what is it used for? How do you go about processing this letter? This are important questions anyone who does any form of financial transactions should be very sure of their answers.

First we need to clarify what we mean by a credit bureau dispute letter or what is also known as a credit report dispute letter. When and if you find an information on your credit report you think is in error, you use this letter to dispute it.

Your credit report is a list of your financial transactions as reported to the three main credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian, and Transunion by the businesses you have dealings with. The basis for disputing any such listing is provided in The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Not everyone who has a judgment on their report derved it. Many got theirs in error but sadly did nothing or did not know they could do something about it. Some people ignorantly ignore court summons thinking it wold just go away. Not appearing for a court summon is handing a judgment to the creditor on a platter of gold. It is really sad what ignorance can cause.

When a customer does not accept a listing in their credit report and asks the bureau to investigate, it is said to be a credit dispute.

Taking this timely action under the guidance of competent attorneys would be best described as a stitch in time which saves nine.

Not handling a credit bureau dispute letter correctly can cause a lot of damage. I recently learned of s couple that had this issue and could not resolve it for years. The struggled until they could not get credit to put their daughter through her final year of college. When it got that bad, they had to find a way out. Somehow they found lexington Law and their story changed to this -. "We contacted Lexington Law Firm and engaged them to perform credit report error correction services on our behalf. It is comforting to know Lexington Law would use the correct terminology in their correspondence with the credit bureaus. Lexington Law's effective and timely correspondence allowed us to have great success with our request to credit bureaus."

They said it all. One of the greatest errors you can make is think that those wrong entries in your credit report don't matter. Those erroneous entries can be the beginning of the end of your financial stability unless you rectify it. Get help from competent hands and solve this problem.
