Creator Doug Ellin's Efforts In Creating A Feature-length Entourage Film

"Entourage" will rap its exceptionally long run on HBO after eight seasons. After the series finale ends in the summer of 2011, the creator of the show Doug Elin has promised that there will be a movie in order to give fans of the show one final chance to catch up on the lives of Vince, Turtle, Ari, E, and Drama.

"Entourage" is a show about the real ups and downs of having a film career in Hollywood. The show focuses on a young film star named Vincent Chase. He is portrayed by the actor Adrian Grenier. Other cast members include Jeremy Piven who portrays Ari, Kevin Connelly who Portrays Eric, Jerry Ferrara who portrays "Turtle" and Kevin Dillion who portrays Johnny "Drama".

Vincent or "Vince" has he is affectionately known has an entourage to help him navigate the world of Hollywood. The men in this entourage are named Johnny "Drama" Chase, Eric Murphy and Salvatore "Turtle" Assante. All of the men grew up in Queens, New York and knew each other from their childhood before moving to live with Vince.

"Entourage" has attracted many fans and critical acclaim for many reasons. The show is about how Hollywood should be. The character of Vince has a love-hate relationship with his agent Ari Gold. Ari has always stated that Vince is the only client that he cares about or has really ever cared about.

Ari often goes on profanity laced tirades in order to get things done and get Vince the roles that he wants. He is often at odds with Vince's manager who is named Eric Murphy or "E". Ari hates that he has to deal with Eric who has been Vince's best friend, confidante, and manager for years. The two have been at odds but have managed to develop a sort of mentor-student relationship over the past seasons of the show.

In "Entourage" people see how a famous actor actually kept his word and helped bring his childhood friends with him as he became successful. He and Johnny "Drama" Chase are brothers and both are in the business but both are not competitive and love each other very much. Vince even brought "Turtle" with him and provides him housing and even an allowance. Most actors in Hollywood forget about their close friends when they become famous and only want to be associated with other famous people in order to get more fame but this is not the case with "Entourage".

The show is at the core about friendship between men which is rare for a long running television show. Many people will be upset to see the show end because of the fun yet serious plotlines that are portrayed by the actors in the cast.

In November of 2010, Doug Elin promised that there would be a movie about "Entourage". Most people expect that the movie will show what happened five or more years from the series finale and show how the lives of the characters have evolved. In Hollywood, movie careers are often short so it will be interesting to see just how well Vince's career will last.

There are many plot lines left to be explored. They include will Turtle ever escape Vince's shadow and be able to have a successful career on his own, what happens to the relationship of Eric and Sloan, will Johnny "Drama" ever be able to get his acting career back on track and will Ari ever get an NFL team. The script for the "Entourage" movie has not been written yet but most people expect that the movie will be filmed by late 2012 or early 2013.
