Creative Thinking Is A Habit

By:

Many people seem to have the false impression that only a select few are able to unlock a steady surge of creative genius. That is not at all true. In fact, creativity is very similar to a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to repeatedly give out great results. If you don't practice using creative thinking, this skill will very much atrophy. However keep working on it and it will surprise you and soon bear fruit.

So, how do you liberate your creative thinking? Well, first of all is that you have to become like a blotter. Put simply you should acquire as much proficiency and mastery as you can manage. Review everything available and open yourself up to the never-ending potentialities of the universe. The more you know, the more you'll be willing to learn, and the more your natural gift of wonder will be stimulated. Prepare to be amazed over the little facts that add a bit of fun into your life.

Concentrate your mind on a creative pastime everyday. Yes, it's a commitment. Even drawing is a creative activity. Don't let anything prevent you. So why don't you consider it? Practice sketching for a couple of minutes each day. Bring out your digital camera and start snapping pictures like crazy. Keep a record and make a point to write in it consistently.

Another great idea is to start writing. ANYTHING! Describe your last vacation or what you spotted on your way to the store. Before long, you'll have created for yourself a little variety of creative works, and you'll be shocked at the progress you've carried out after gathering together all those artistic works. Who knows, you might really start liking those creative exercises you do everyday. Soon enough those things will grow to be a part of you and you'll be captivated with these creative actions.

Try something completely new everyday and let your experiences broaden your point of view. Investigate a new area in your neighborhood. Spend an afternoon in a gallery to which you've never been before. Chat up someone on the bus. Open up to the people around you. As you push yourself out of your comfort zone more and more each day, your personal sense of adventure increases and so does your zest for life.

Reflect for a moment!. When did you last have an adventure? If it's been a while, you've been skipping a whole lot of experience that could've added to your evolution - psychologically, intellectually, physically, or spiritually.

Why not try bungee jumping today? Certainly, not only will you educate yourself, but you will also have lots of stories to write about, enabling you to use your story-telling skills and making you the life of the party. Creativity is in reality breaking down restrictions

One of the very best creative problem-solving methods is brainstorming. It's usually implemented by a group, but can also easily be done by an individual. The course of action is very simple and relaxed. The idea is to concoct wild and ridiculous potential resolutions to your problem and keep a record of every one. Negative feedback, judgement and evaluation are not introduced at this stage because we cannot at the same time be creative and judgmental. In the process, mainstream thinking is put aside and creative thinking takes center stage. Many insane ideas have triggered practical solutions.

Therefore you must start thinking beyond your limitations. Assuming that you follow these steps, you'll shortly be living a life full of interesting adventures. Unleashing your creative thinking will give birth to a new passion for living life to the fullest.
