One of the important elements of
iPhone web application is animations. How do you create animations for cell phones? High-end cell phone programming such as iPhone programming uses tools including Illustrator, Device Central CS3 and plus Flash CS3 to create these animations.
Creating animations for cell phones is not a difficult task for the iPhone developer. Normally creating animations in Flash takes a good chunk of your time and you will need to know the programming language for Flash. However, creating cell phone animations is possible even without the use of ActionScript, i.e., the programming language for Flash. Even if you are not a Flash specialist, you can try your hand at creating these
iPhone web apps.
First go to Device Central and choose your file dimension. If the animation is for iPhone, you have to select it from a list of mobile phones. The next step is creating the Illustrator document. For doing this, first go to Select File and then select New Document and then choose Illustrator. The main window displays an Illustrator icon and a Create button. By clicking on this button you can create your Illustrator document. Now you can set up the document so as integrate it with Flash CS3. Here by using Ellipse tool, create a circle out of a dot. Choosing shapes, sizes, and color are all part of this process. Having done all your artwork, now press F8 and convert it into a symbol. Create another symbol by using the same procedure. The next step is creating a blend. By using the Blend tool, create a blend between these two symbols. Blends are then converted into animations by exporting the document as an SWF. A new background and other elements such as motion path and motion tween can be added to the animation using Flash CS3.
