Creating A Targeted Business Movie To Grab Viewers

By:

When you first create a movie for your business, you must put yourself in the position of the viewing audience. When it comes to business movies, people seem to lose interest very quickly. Of course, this is not true when we view video productions about anything to do with personal enhancements or what we see as fundamental lifestyle topics. For these we seem to have all the time in the world!

With this in mind, you need to plan your video very carefully. Whether this is more of a product video production or a corporate style movie, you need to cover the main points in the right order.

The introduction or head

This part must grab the viewer's attention quickly. There is very little point in going into the history or what you consider to be important statements about credibility, ethics and philosophies - these can come later. You need to grab people before anything else.

What you need in the introduction is a sharp visual effect or statement that engages the potential customer. Think of the most important question a buyer would ask you and cover that in the first 30 seconds. If your customers are more interested in the quality and life span of a product then answer this first. If they mainly want to know if it suitable for a particular application then mention this before anything else. Whatever you do, the intro is the single most important part so make sure you get it right.

The main body

The meaty part of the video talks about why you can deliver the products and meet the customer's needs. This is where you can style a product video piece around your best selling items. You could have these featured as the main part of the video with a voice over or you can have them as a backdrop to an interview with the CEO or director of the company. So, after you have grabbed them with the intro, this is where you must sell the product or concept to them in a subtle way.

The sign off

This is where you say goodbye and leave them with a very positive thought. You have introduced your company and told them why they should choose your business. You have also told them why your products are so good and why your customers have been using your services. You can then go into back up, support, customer service and any guarantees. However, it is vital that the sign off is where you leave a lasting impression and is not to be underestimated.

Try to leave a call to action statement with a catchy line (catchy, not cheesy) and add a final piece of information that may just tick the final box for them. If you can do this in a subtle, but positive way then you have succeeded.

Whatever you decide to do, always have a bit of fun and try to involve people with varying degrees of experience and creativity.
Your final production should then be able to suit a wider audience and this gives you a better chance of reaching more people with the right message.
