Creating A Cohesive Business Atmosphere

When you are putting your business together you need to look at the whole picture. If you have a theme and stick with it throughout all the details it will help people to remember your place. Even a serious business has a place for some whimsy. If something will make people feel more comfortable then it is a good idea for business. So consider some fun ideas when you are just starting or even refreshing your business.

Any office type setting will look good with a cool and relaxing theme. Actually anything other than the school of "boring office" style would be nice. There are enough places like that already! I went to an unusual office recently for a medical professional. She decided to go all out when she moved her office and got a fresh new look that carried over into all aspects of her business promotion.

I loved the way she made her office look and feel so vibrant. With the green walls and the relaxing furniture you could almost get a sense of being in a magical swamp. She even had one of those CD's that have recorded swamp sounds instead of that awful canned muzak that a lot of Doctor's use. She went as far as keeping the theme going with her office supplies and business cards. She made a cute webbed looking frog foot print as her logo and she had small stuffed frogs that wore her name and logo too for new patients.

She took yet another run of the mill Dr office and made it memorable. It still had a formal and professional atmosphere, her employees wore frog prints on their shirts but continued with the same positive professional demeanor. The whole idea just helped people to remember her and naturally they told others about it because it was so unusual. That is some good advertising.

The point is that you can tastefully create a theme for your business that is completely unrelated to your business and still have it work well for promotions and advertising. Believe me when I tell you that there aren't many optometrists around using frogs to promote their business, so her advertising serves its purpose of standing out and getting noticed.
