Sending a child off to college? You will very likely go overboard making sure that they have everything they will need with them while they are so far from home. Over purchasing for your college freshman may seem like a wise idea, however, this is a mistake that you'll want to avoid.

When it comes to transitioning to college it's nice to have some new stuff to begin your college experience with but it is also important not to go overboard with how much you're sending your student away with. After all, dormitory rooms offer very little space for students and placing too many items in the room with them might squash any ability to think while in the chaos of stuff.
