As mentioned in the first two parts of the story of Zamna, Cozumel Real Estate offers the benefit of being a place known for peace. Onwers of Cozumel real estate, proud to be sending Zamna, a ship known as Cozumels messenger of peace, enjoy the pleasure of hosting the ship for a few days at the end of August, before officially sending the ship on its voyage through various parts of the world.

On the afternoon of August 24th, Cozumel welcomed Zamna, with a large and enthusiastic reception. The ship left Veracruz, the state where it was built, early in August, and traveled around the Yucatan Peninsula during this month, finally arriving to its host island. The ship will begin its official journey from Cozumel.

At the celebration for the ships arrival, the captain, Ramirez Raise Vital mentioned again that Cozumel has a history of peace and can send a message of peace to the world. The message from Zamna is the desire for a new culture - a culture of peace, he added.

The "messenger of peace" sailed from Progreso, Yucatan (near Merida) early yesterday and arrived to Cozumel around 16:30. A child from Cozumel will continue with The Zamna Expedition, participating as an ambassador of peace to schools along Zamnas route.

About 300 people gathered on the pier to greet the ship. Civilian and military authorities, led by Mayor Juan Carlos Gonzalez Hernandez and his wife Virginia Alcerreca Loaeza, welcomed the crew. Next the businessman Jos Manuel Daz Rubio, sponsor of the ship and the expedition, thanked Cozumel for the reception and stated that from Cozumel "we will show the world that Mexico is a country of peace."

Afterwards the captain, Alzar Ramrez, spoke to the group. Among other things he explained the significance of the dove with damaged wings, which is on Zamnas bow, and the three pyramids of Kukulcan and the St. Francis of Assisi that are in the stern, which are the work of artist Carlos Aguiar, who also attended the ceremony.

During the voyage from Progreso, Diaz revealed that there are plans for new activities after the end of the Zamna Expedition, which will last about five months and will include more than 20 ports in 13 countries.

He declined to reveal details because it still unknown whether they will be able to bring together the people needed for the project. But he did mention that it would be another international trip and would be related with the Bicentennial of the Independence of Mexico.

On Monday night, there was a welcome cocktail for the ships international crew, which has members from Mexico, Canada and Spain.

On Tuesday morning the flag ceremony for the ship a sort of "birth certificate," said Manuel Diaz was held. On Wednesday, after a farewell ceremony, headed by the states governor Felix Gonzalez Canto, Zamna is scheduled to set sail, bound for Miami.
