Couch Potato To A 5k In Ninety Days Non-stop!

Ready to turn the page to a new you? Your at the right place! You've been thinking about this for months, but just haven't quite taken the plunge to starting a running program. For one thing you may have wanted to start to lose some weight, but there has always been something else that's came up first. No problem, we'll go over the easiest way to get there! Lose some weight plus get ready to run in your first 5K in three months.

He's the goal. Within three month's you'll be ready for your first 5K non-stop. Meaning starting tomorrow your going to be able start out by walking around the block. Then in gradual doses you'll slowly add a little more distance each day. Mark on your calendar ninety days out, you'll be able to run 3.2 miles without stopping.

Here we go with day one, just start off with about ten minutes of stretching to warm yourself up a bit. Start off with a walking pace, then by the time you get to the end of your block start with a jogging pace. Now remember your not going to run very far, just the distance of the width of a couple houses. That should do it! Ease back into a walk and finish out the rest of your walk around the block. When you get back to the house, then finish off your daily exercise with another ten minute of stretching.

The trick is consistency slow and steady will get you there on your road from couch potato to a 5k in ninety days. Every few days add a couple more houses. Start off at a walk then step into a jog, then add a few more houses every few days. If by adding a few more houses seems to be soon, then add more at the end of each week.

You see in fourteen days your just up to a half of a mile. Remember the trick to this running stuff...is consistency slow and steady. By the end of your first month you should be up to one mile by then. Finish off with ten minutes of stretching exercises. Just think a month ago you couldn't even run the distance of the width of one or two houses. Now you can run one whole mile non-stop!

The second month is a little bit different than the first month where you were going from couch potato to one mile. What you want to do in month two, is to run your one mile non stop just like you did last month. Except at the beginning of mile two, is the add a couple houses distance before you slow to a walk. Now at the end of those two houses run, then walk two houses. In a series like this, run two houses walk two houses. Run two houses walk two houses all the way around the block until you get back to your home.

On your second week add a couple more houses after you run your one whole mile non stop. Your be doing something like this, run one mile non-stop. Then run four houses, then walk one house, run four houses, walk one house. There's no hard fast rules to this running stuff! But, the idea is to always add just a little more than what is easy. The trick is consistency slow and steady.

By month three your able to run two whole miles non-stop. Then add your third mile in increments as you introduced your body to the second mile. In the closing of the third month you should be getting close to being able to run three whole miles non-stop. If your not quite there or if it's too hard no problem. Remember you came from a coach potato to becoming a 5K ready runner in three months or close to it. This process is adjustable. I've no idea of your weight where you started. So, if you were ten to twenty pounds over weight, then stretch the process over a four or even five month period. You will get there slow and steady. The trick to this running stuff is consistency!
