If the oil seal has failure at the end of the turbocharger, the engine oil inside the turbocharger will flee into the turbo shells. Then, the oil will be discharged out of the cylinder together with the exhaust gas of high temperature. As a result, it causes the excessive consumption of the oil. There will also smoke from the exhaust pipe. If the oil seal at the end of the gas compressor has failure, the oil in the turbocharger shall also flee into the shell of the gas compressor. Along with the gas, it enters into the cylinder and burns inside the cylinder. Similarly, it will lead to the excessive consumption of oil. There is also smoke from the exhaust smoke. What's worse, the cylinder will accumulate more and more carbons.
Maintain the normal oil pressure of the lubrication system. When the diesel engine is in operation, the oil pressure of lubrication system is less than 015MPa. Meanwhile, the oil pressure should not too high in order to avoid the oil entering the turbocharger room or the compressor room. Diesel engine should not rotate at an idling speed for too long time. Otherwise, the oil pressure is too low and makes the diesel turbocharger has bad lubrication.
Strengthen the maintenance of the air cleaner. In order to make the injected gas in the cylinder diesel burn adequately, it needs to supply a large number of clean air. After the diesel engine is installed with the turbocharger, the injection pumps will increase the oil supply correspondingly. To strengthen the maintenance of the gas filter can ensure the normal working condition. Additionally, if the filter core is damaged or the seal rubber ring has aging failure, the turbocharger will rotate in an unstable way due to the invasion of ash and sand. Worse, the noise is intensified, which aggravates wear of the oil seal, bearing and gas seal components. It needs to note that the hard stuff must not fall into the intake pipe to avoid breaking the rotor shaft or the impeller in the turbocharger. Otherwise, it could cause the accident of scuffing of cylinder bore.
