The CCNA certification is the usual starting point for all training in Cisco. This teaches you how to operate on maintaining and installing routers. The training is effectively done by honing in on the actual skills required (alongside a proportionate degree of background knowledge,) as opposed to going into the heightened depths of background 'extras' that degree courses can get bogged down in (to fill up a syllabus or course).

Assuming a company is aware what work they need doing, then all they have to do is advertise for the particular skill-set required. The syllabuses all have to conform to the same requirements and aren't allowed to deviate (as academic syllabuses often do).

At times people don't understand what IT is all about. It is stimulating, innovative, and means you're a part of the huge progress of technology that will impact the whole world for generations to come.

We've only just begun to scrape the surface of how technology will define our world. Computers and the Internet will profoundly alter the way we see and interact with the world around us over the coming years.

Should receiving a good salary be high on your goal sheet, then you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear that the average salary for IT employees in general is noticeably better than with most other jobs or industries.
