Computer's Are The Way To Train And Teach, Even Through Games

By:

Do you find yourself doing more communicating with your friends, family, co-workers or even spouse through IM or text or email? Do you find that those that don't do things on the computer are people that you might not communicate with as often? There are times that I think I have let everyone know something, but then I realize that I did it all through text or IM and those that weren't included with that list I didn't communicate with. The computer industry is booming and people are finding that the best way to communicate and even train people is through the internet and computers.

When I was in college it was unheard of to have a laptop in class and you went to a computer lab. Now it is abnormal to not have a computer in the classroom. For some schools they are even using text books on the internet instead of making their students purchase the text books. With businesses they are recognizing that the best way to train their employees on anything is through the computer. It is much more time efficient. Instead of walking over to someone's desk they can send an email or even an IM and have something taken care of in just a couple of minutes.

The list goes on and on how people are using the computer and the internet to become more efficient and beneficial for their employees, students or even in the home. Many people recognize this, but have you ever thought about how serious games or other computer activities on the computer can be a benefit to students or to employees or to anyone that you need to train?

With a serious game you can create an atmosphere where people are working together to solve a problem or racing each other to figure out something. This can be both fun and good training. Many will think about a team building opener for a meeting and then go into working on the computers and training. What about using a team building activity that everyone can work on in their computers?

What is amazing is that with serious games on the computer you can teach your people different cognitive skills. People are recognizing that whether you are trying to communicate with a high school student or a college student or even professors or in the career world people are turning to the computer and you can do that in all aspects of training and teaching from serious games to training on programs to communicating to even fun activities.
