Compete With The Corporations

By:

Many economists and product critics have declared that the days of the independently managed business are over. This view is becoming more and more prevalent, because of the increased political and economic influence that are being wielded by international corporations. Furthermore, some critics are skeptical of the survivability and continuous profitability of independently managed business. Furthermore, corporations have nearly infinite financial and human resources, which means that these larger commercial ventures are able to invest heavily in advertising, as well as research and development, while smaller ventures function on small strict budgets, and usually operate on a skeleton-crew of a staff. Bearing these facts in mind, some readers may be asking , how do small independent businesses compete with the larger corporations? The answer is not an easy one.

First of all, many small business owners have embraced a new marketing technique, which has been called word-of mouth marketing, or direct sales. The most common name for this type of business practice is multilevel marketing. While many people have mistaken this perfectly legal practice for the illicit practice of pyramid marketing, this system, which is also referred to as MLM, allows small independent businessmen, who represent the same company, to pool their resources and work together. This allows the central organization to widen their audience, while also sharing their profits with the average citizen. While this system is making headway in the worlds commercial markets, many people question the small MLM-based business to compete with the large multinational corporations, which have become so prominent during the previous two decades.

Many people have underestimated the capabilities of MLM-based businesses, due to their usual lack of capital and manpower. Those detractors are woefully misinformed. Several software design firms have developed various types of multi level marketing software. While many of these programs such as direct sales software and network marketing software are associated with the aspects of management, customer service and sales, these programs have also allowed those who participate in MLM-based operations to automate many of the daily tasks such as account management, monitoring employee performance, and monitoring open orders as well as inventory. Furthermore, many of these programs allow businessmen to create websites, web-based presentations, and interactive video menus, which appear as though they were constructed by a professional. The incorporation of websites and other interactive media have accomplished two tasks at the same time. This ability to automate menial tasks, and to create wonderfully constructed websites have cut cost in terms of the number of employees needed to administer the business daily operations, while also cutting the need to purchase the services of expensive advertising and marketing agencies. These capabilities ensure that the small MLM-based commercial ventures can definitely compete on an seemingly equal footing.
