People that live in the US travel to Europe often. You have to wonder why they don't think about going to Australia instead. There are many places that make for a nice holiday. Perhaps Europe is a choice because that is where so many American families originated from. It could also be because of the way that they market for that location.

Although, you can't be sure why you probably know more people who have taken a European holiday than an Australian one, but with the current economic climate, a Gold Coast holiday will save you quite a bit over a trip to Venice or Rome, Paris or Portugal. As a matter of fact Australia is also the same approximate distance from the west coast as Europe is and the flights tend to be slightly less.

There are other reasons why a visit to the Gold Coast is more worthy of your holiday. You don't have to be concerned about rainy days there because for around 300 days you will see nothing but sun. Also there is a ton of nature there to enjoy. That is one of the draws to the area. The beach, parks galore, and waterfalls to name a few. And none of these cost money to see and experience.

For those that do enjoy exploring the history of a location you have plenty do here. The architecture is interesting and has a historical significance. You can learn all about the history with trips to the different museums and the indigenous art collections are incredible. One nice aspect of your visit will also be enjoying the high standard of chefs that are in the region.

Whatever type of vacation that you are planning you can get it at the Gold Coast. There are different forms of adventure that you can explore as well as all the relaxation that you can handle right on some beautiful sandy beaches. If you do take a little time to do some research online you will soon see that there are some great values. You will find that it can be a lot cheaper to go to the great land of Australia.
