Common Plastic Surgery Procedures For Women

Plastic surgery has become so popular with women these days that many procedures are specifically aimed at them. It is also a fact that women are more likely to undergo cosmetic operations compared to men, although some men also undergo them. There are factors that characterize these procedures as mainly for women but there are special times when there are exceptions to it.

Breast Augmentation

This cosmetic procedure aims to improve the bosom of the female species in such a way that it is augmented and enhanced. Although there are several techniques in performing this operation, the most common is the introduction of implants into the area. This plastic surgery procedure requires some incisions to be made strategically to ensure less noticeable scars and optimum augmentation. Reduction and lifting are also some of the procedures that are focused on the breasts of women. Some men do have the reduction operation done on them as well.

Face Lift

This surgical procedure comes in different methods and intensity. Women who have passed the age of fifty are often very eager to have this done. The procedure basically trims away excess skin and tissue which may contribute to sag in the face. There are various methods for the face lift procedure but most are actually just focused on the lower part of the face around the jaw, the nose, the cheekbones and the mouth.

Liposuction

This operation uses a tube like instrument to suck out liquefied fat which has been dissolved previously. This form of plastic surgery is best employed for obese individuals who wish to lose some weight. A certain amount of fat is allowed to be removed per liposuction session. Extracting too much can be dangerous for the woman because our body needs this to function well. The procedure can be done in various parts of the body where fat may have accumulated such as the stomach, thighs, arms and buttocks. Other feasible parts may be recommended by the surgeon if he thinks that the patient may benefit from this. This operation is very popular with women but there are also many men who opt for it as well.

These cited surgeries are basic ones that many surgeons are familiar with and comfortable with. The usual step is to initially find out how good a candidate the individual is and then more discussions will follow regarding the operation. The doctor should make the patient understand the possible risks and the results of the procedures.
