Common Acne System Mistakes

Now that youve finally found an acne cream that should work for you its as easy as put it on and acne gone, right? If only it was that easy, and in a sense, it is, it just depends on how you apply the creams or gels in your acne system. I cant tell you how many times Ive heard people say Ive been using my acne cream for a couple weeks and nothings changed. Normally the first thing that springs to mind is that the acne cream is a scam, ineffective or not for you but does anyone consider that they may be applying the products in their acne system wrong. Take a look at the three most common acne cream mistakes and find out why your acne system may not be working for you.

1.Too Much
Many people are under the assumption that more is better. Well in the case of acne creams that is certainly not true. The best acne systems are formulated to be absorbed directly into the skin to work from the inside out to promote cellular regeneration and kill underlying bacteria. Putting on too much of a cream can cause the excess product to sit on the top layer of the skin and cause irritation. Inflammation is a common side effect of using too much product and is one of the main causes of acne. You only need a little bit of an acne cream as most of them are made with some pretty potent ingredients, so use them sparingly.

2.Ridiculous Expectations
This should be cleared up right now; there is nothing on the market (or black market) that can clear up acne over night let alone two or three days, so dont expect anything to. Even the best acne systems take at least one or two weeks to start showing any sort results that one would consider significant. Anyone else who says different is selling something else. Give an acne cream at least a week or two to see if there are benefits that catch your attention.

3.Consistency/Not Following Directions
If youve been patient enough to give a product the time needed to see if it will work, it means nothing if youre not consistent with its use. Work your daily application of the acne system in your skin care routine (if you have one) so that it is easy to remember and make sure you do it every day as directed. Following directions is also extremely important as they are not there for decoration they are there for your safety and the best results.

Avoid these common mistakes as best as you can. I know that there are many people who feel that theyve tried everything there is and one of these misconceptions may be why your acne treatments havent worked. Next time you find yourself doing one of these things take a step back and think back to today and remember what you can do to make you acne cream more effective.
