Did you ever ask yourself, why you setup blogs, or your reason for doing so? Now, the web there are more than 70 million weblogs, and one might wonder - what purposes do they pursue?
Until recently, making money online was not easy for many people. A a couple of years back it was difficult to earn something online until the WEB 2.0 era had came.
Today, things are different. Blog fever amplifies day by day, and everyone, who has heard something about blogs, wants to have one. So, why? Well here some reasons.
1. Recognition. The vanity was, is and will always be. Is it surprising that people want their 15 mintues of fame? Look at how many amazing people that began as simple bloggers with great ideas. Seth Godin, Steve Pavlina, Darren Rowse, just to name a few. No one would know them, had they never made the decision to blog?
2. Self-expression. Many people are blogging because it gives them a canvas to paint their dreams. I started blogging because I just wanted to share some of my thoughts. Why not? Some people that aren't that great at other forms of expression can still convey their emotions. Truly, the internet is the best instrument for people like us. Some people may even need to blog, because they have no other sort of way to get things off their chest.
3. Work. For many, blogging is a real job. Companies hire people to write posts about their new products. Some bloggers actually make thousands a month doing so.
4. Selling your own products. Due to the vast reach of the internet,we can start selling our products worldwide within minutes of learning to do so. Especially if one has a digital item like an eBook or useful software, the web is the best medium to use. And people do it. Blogs have made this so much easier.
5. Selling affiliate products. Lately, the big thing is the promotion of affiliate products through blogs. It is an easy way to make money.
6. To help other people. And why can't this be the case? Lots of people are starting to build blogs in order to help others through similar situaions.
7. Making a Profit Online. Some people just blog to make money online. Plain and simple.
