It takes a special person visits with the children - one of the parents. Children have their own needs. Their idea to leave more "adventurous" than the parents. They need constant stimulation and they can get as tired as they tire.
There are many top ten type lists of tips for traveling with children: how to make sure they eat and drink well enough how to dress for the weather of their differences, how to provide encouragement they need, how to make sure that they are not of the drive in the family car and leave you aground in the Mojave Desert, etc.
This list is how to travel
tickets in comfort - without tying the children to the roof rack - which hopefully will lead to a reduction of stress.
Make sure you have a great opportunity during the trip.
This is easier said than done. On the plane, all crowded. By train, the cramped, though slightly less so. On a bike ... do not even try.
If you are driving, get a mini-van. Of course, you can be more about the "machine" type, and you can resist buying a mini-van so far. But to get to the rental van for the vacation just to give children more opportunities to fight. (Make sure it has a roof rack, just in case.)
Reality check: Cram enough people in the tiny space and watch all get stressed and furious. See my humorous but true article on hippo rage
Overnight travel may be difficult. Usually it involves a cramped motel for just long enough to sleep and then back into the cramped car (or somewhat cramped mini-van). This is not anyone's idea of a home away from home.
Placement of an alternative is to camp. When not asleep, you have all the places in the world (if you do not have to live on the tarp while the storm passes). I love camping, but not everyone enjoys a good early morning action after the fight with a grizzly bear I, therefore, motel might be required.
Make sure you have a great opportunity, if you "get there".
My childhood vacations,
tickets often involved wandering around lost. Assuming that you are actually heading for the appointment, be sure to have plenty of room when you get there. This part is very easy. But it requires thinking outside the box. Forget hotels, motels and hotels. Look for the rental of private homes.
Probably the biggest destination for families Walt Disney World in Florida. Good news - Orlando, Kissimmee and the surrounding area simply abounds with private vacation homes for rent. In Florida they call them vacation villas, and they offer all the space at home (no need to install leaky sink or oil the door hinges or mow the lawn.) Here are some examples of holiday homes to rent in the area of Disney
Sharon Bailey is the owner of a private villa in the Kissimmee area outside Orlando, a few miles from Disney World. "Our guests enjoy the open spaces of our 6-room house. They love the private pool and private courtyard, where they can relax," she said. "Parents love the space for children to run around outside, and you leave the box of toys in the garage. Therefore, while the other parents, children playing - and let their parents rest!"
Be prepared for "children of children" events.
Sometimes, stress hits because of you, when the unexpected happens. As a cut or scratch ... or a child getting sick. Sharon Baillie told me that this is why she tells all its guests renting villas, where the kit can be found, namely, where to go for medical help. This is especially helpful for her many guests from abroad who are not familiar with American health care system.
It also ensures that her guests are informed about local pollen and viruses in Florida, so that parents can be prepared. Stress is much more fun if you're willing to do so, is not it?
Booking tickets on the theme parks and reservations just about everything in advance, makes the trip less stressful. There is somewhat more difficult than managing young children, trying to get into a theme park and show that requires prior booking.
