Combat Global Warming - How To Do It

One of the many concerns we have today is finding a solution that can help stop the temperature increase we face with every passing year. As more and more coverage and attention are given to the increased melting of the Arctic ice, we have come to terms that the world is heading to doomsday and global warming is the cause of it. Thus, it is no wonder that we are scrambling to find a cure and a way to stop this increase in temperature, and we need it now before it reaches the boiling point, and as such many countries are putting in a lot of effort in search of a long term as well as short term solution for it.

The simplest way to do it is actually by having more trees planted, however experts have lead to believe that in order to truly make a difference to our earth in a short period of time, as many as six billion trees are needed! This is indeed an effort that seemed like a bridge too far for many of us, as we do not envision ourselves actually doing it, we would also need to immediately stop our trees cutting activities which have severe impact on certain group of economies.

The main reason why we needed that much trees are because it helps convert out CO2 byproducts into oxygen, and thus lowering down our carbon emission to the atmosphere and solving the greenhouse problems which can help slow down our climate change.

To underline how dire the situation is for us, there have been example where chopping down trees have led to the disappearance of the whole forest, witnessed by events in Bangladesh and Easter Island.

Greenhouse effects aside, there are more drawbacks to excessive tree cutting that we just have no way to tell of yet, only way to find out might be until it had happened which by then could be a tad too late. That being said, we still need to do our part to save the planet as a citizen of this planet.

Simply by choosing to stop polluting the environment and killing it we can help make a difference. Some ways we can do so is to simply stop using harmful energies to the environment and opt for cleaner and sustainable energy sources. We should also start to recycle more actively and stop our usage of non biodegradable materials which can really harm the environment in the long run.
