The thing about internet marketing is it's so cost efficient. Businesses today are spending a lot of money on advertising in newspapers, television, and radio. The problem with these advertising mediums is they are not only expensive, but they are becoming less and less effective.

Once of the reasons for this ineffectiveness is the majority of the people you reach with those ads are not interested in that information when they are receiving it. If your local paper has a circulation of 70,000 readers, your actual target market will be much smaller than that. If only 10% of your community are apartment dwellers, than the best you can hope to reach for your target market using that medium is about 7,000 people a month. Now how many of those people are actually in need of finding a new apartment each month?

The same principal applies when it comes to other advertising mediums like magazines, radio and television. The biggest difference here is those mediums are so much more expensive than even just a newspaper ad.

One of the most cost effective advertising solutions is internet marketing. When you deliver your marketing message on the internet, people are finding your message at the exact time they are looking for a solution. This is why it is so effective.

One of the most effective internet advertising methods is web video marketing. Internet video advertising is effective because it delivers your message in a format that people want to use. People would much rather watch a video than read an article you have written. But articles and written advertisements still have their place in a marketing campaign. If they didn't, I would not have spent my time writing this article.

So why is web video marketing more effective than a television commercial? Well like I said earlier, when they find your video on the internet, they are looking for it because they are seeking out that information. On the TV, they are watching a program they like. When commercials come on, they tune them out, get up to go to the bathroom or get a drink, or other things. With modern digital video recorders for cable and satellite, many people now record the shows they watch so they can fast forward through the commercials.

Another benefit to using internet marketing methods is the ability to track which ads are working and which ones are not. This allows you to focus more on what works, and cast aside the things that are not. Tracking ads through other mediums is difficult and can be expensive. Ads on the internet are easy and inexpensive to track.

So given how inexpensive internet marketing is compared to other forms of marketing, and the ease of tracking its effectiveness, it makes sense to start shifting some money from your advertising budget to this method.
