According to recent studies, the state of Colorado has ranked as one of the highest in the nation for the use of all illegal substances. As a result, a number of campaigns have been launched in an effort to battle the high numbers of registered drug use in the state.

Broadcasters in Colorado team together to air the documentary film "Child help Crystal Darkness". "Child help Crystal Darkness" is a drug campaign film that started in the state of Nevada. The teamwork of local broadcasters enabled this film to be aired on nearly every television station in the state of Colorado at the same time, 6:30 p.m. The Telly and Emmy Award winning film is geared towards fighting against the use of methamphetamines.

"Child help Crystal Darkness" was filmed in the state of Colorado in October of 2008. Special features included in the film are interviews with Governor Bill Ritter, First Lady Jeannie Ritter, and Attorney General John Suthers, other community leaders, local law enforcement officials, local recovered meth addicts, and meth recovery specialists.

The 30 minute documentary film is still available for purchase through the Crystal Darkness website. Parents can also order the Crystal Darkness Parents Tool Kit. This is a one hour film that gives you the knowledge and tools you need to fight back against meth and protect your family from all illegal substances.

The Colorado Meth Project launches a statewide meth prevention campaign. This campaign is designed to address the number of methamphetamine drug cases in the state of Colorado. These cases have caused a number of meth related crimes and health problems among Colorado residents.

The Colorado Meth Project, backed by a national non-profit organization, the Meth Project, focuses on the use of community outreach, public policy, and public service messaging to take action against the use of meth in the state of Colorado. The plan for implementation includes community outreach programs and a wide range of advertising methods.
