College Party Ideas And Wild Theme Parties

How to Throw a Party

The steps to Throw a party is as easy as 1-2-3 well 1-2-3-4..etc.. Before the steps obviously decide on a theme. Visit http://www.college-party-ideas.com/college_party_ideas.html for party themes.

1. Find a venue to throw a party:

Depending on the size of your party you may need different size party venues. Be conscious of party space! Too much space and no one will dance, too little and everyone will be too cramped and hot to dance. The venue must be well ventilated. Try using fans to circulate the air.

For parties with 1 to 30 guests an apartment is suitable (if you are on the upper levels beware of several guests jumping up and down at once this can break floor beams). Houses and basements are ideal as well.

For parties with 30 to 100 guests you are going to need a house or basement. You know the size of your house so imagine how many people can fit into your house with a foot between them.

Where to throw a party with 100+ guests? You are going to need a club or ballroom type venue. Any large gathering areas with good ventilation are great

2. Decorations are important for themed parties:
This is only important for themed parties. People usually need a good atmosphere to get into the crazy party mood. Even a small addition like a few vines on the wall for a toga party or a red light for a lingerie party will add great atmosphere to your event. Check our http://www.college-party-ideas.com/college_party_ideas.html in the parties section for recommended decorations for your party theme.

3.music Music MUSIC!!!
This is by far the most important element to the party. Always have your playlist ready before you party. No one ever wants to be the DJ when the party gets good 'I don't care what they say' I've been to parties where the supposed DJ has gotten drunk and the music was left up to Windows Shuffle (needless to say it went downhill quickly). Keep your guests in mind when choosing the playlist. Don't play only the songs you think are cool, if it is an 'everybody invited' party you can go wrong with pop music.
I suggest you use a music player with a cross-fading ability. This means that the music seamlessly fades from one song to another, nothing kills a buzz quicker than a pause in a good party groove. Some of these players include Winamp and Windows Media Player.

4. Cool IT DOWN
About four hours before your party starts, open some windows and turn off the furnace to drop the temperature of your house. It's going to get packed and hot later, so cool down the house while you still can.

Remember, you're probably going to have to close your windows to keep down noise once the party starts. That traps in heat, and when it gets crowded and people start dancing, the temperature will skyrocket quickly.

Beforehand, open all your windows and put in fans to blow in cool air. The more you can drop the temperature before people arrive, the less sweaty guests will be later, and the more they'll want to come back next time.
