What do you think of when you think of cigars? Do you think of James Bond's victory light-up after he successfully completes one of his ridiculously impossible missions against some Russian terrorist? Do you think of men in downtown Chicago wearing pin-striped suits? Do you think of Cuba and the U.S. trade embargo? Do you think the gift you bestow your boss for Christmas, or those chocolate cigars you give people when they have a baby or get married? Perhaps you are thinking of something entirely different.

The point is that cigars are found all throughout society and we each think of different things when we think of them. Personally when I think of cigars, I think of the fabulously crafted boxes that they are sometimes packaged in. Many cigar boxes are delicately crafted into exquisite works of art. They are often molded from some of the finest woods. It would simply be a waste, false, it would simply be a tragedy to dispose of such a finely crafted box. Before you throw away a cigar box, consider its many uses. You can re-use them!

Begin by getting rid of any left over cigar residue there may be inside the box. Clean it out. After you have done this check the box for foul odors. Keep in mind a dozens cigars used to reside in there, it might smell nasty. To eliminate possible odors, place a dryer sheet of a small amount of baking soda inside the unit. This should work. Once that beautiful box is clean and smells fresh, do not be afraid to display it. Cigar boxes can make great artwork around a home or office. Consider the mantel above the fireplace. You can also use these boxes to store pens or paper on your desk. You could use them to package a gift for someone else.

These make great gifts for other people when something thoughtful is placed inside. You could even just collect the box, or sell it on eBay. People all over the world collect stranger things, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Polish it up and give it to your wife as a jewelry box. Do not waste that beautiful Cohiba Cuban cigars box. Be creative. I have only suggested a few potential ideas for the new usage of the leftover box. The fun does not have to end with smoking the last cigar, re-use the box.
