For just 30 bucks this system packs a punch. I just moved into my college dorm room and needed something to play music on and my Mac speakers were just awful. I ordered
Coby CS-MP77 because I wanted decent speakers and a sub for a low price.
For the price I paid I couldn't be happier! The speakers sound great and the bass is equally impressive. The bass level doesn't go as high as i'd hoped but for the price I paid I can't complain. The only other complaint I have is that the wires connecting everything aren't very long. If you want a system that will be heard from miles away, I would suggest investing in some higher end systems.
But if college sucked all the money out of you and you still want a system you can really enjoy, than
Coby CS-MP77 is the product for you!

Not saying much new here, just combining a couple observations made in various previous reviews. I searched for "mp3 speakers", found one that could play *any* mp3 player and was within the $40 dollar price range, picked these based on price, overall reviews, and looks (I am terribly biased when it comes to the visual appeal of a product).
The input cable that it comes with for use with mp3 players works for me, but I can sympathize with those that were perturbed at its short length (approx. 3 ft.). The satellites can get about as loud as any sane appreciator of music could want them to get, and the sub-woofer is quite decent. One warning for potential buyers: when I first received the
Coby CS-MP77, I messed around a lot with the bass and main volume levels (which is only natural), but in the process, I jostled the satellite and mp3 cables, which pretty much played musical chairs with what I was listening to.
However, I purposely jostled the cables later on down the road, and my music was uninterrupted. So if you buy
Coby CS-MP77 and that happens to you, try "breaking them in" first. I dunno why they are fine now, but I am glad they are. A nice system overall.
