Clayton Walters has done internship at M.M. Winkler & Associates, Tupelo, Mississippi. During this six week summer internship, he worked in the field and dealt with clients. His responsibilities also included working with and under associates. He was included in MSU Global Leadership Program. He was among one of the forty students who were selected to travel to South Korea and Japan. It was an excellent learning experience and he got to visit corporations, universities and cultural sites where he learned about the education system in Japan and South Korea. He got to experience the similarities and differences in the accounting standards followed. These experiences helped him in widening his viewpoint about different cultures of the world and realize the beauty in the differences.
Clayton Walters has been awarded with various honors and accolades. He received Richard C. Adkerson School of Accountancy Academic Achievement Award 2009-2010. He was a part of Presidents List for four semesters and Deans List for three semesters. He is also an award winning athlete and has received Bulldog Honor Roll (Athletes) for three semesters. He was also on Southeastern Conference Freshman Honor Roll 2006-2007.
Clayton Walters has work experience as a counselor in training from May 2003 to July 2003. He was junior counselor in summers of 2004-2006 and senior counselor from May 2007 to August 2007. From May 2008 to August 2008, he has served as a Safari Chief (head of maintenance crew). He has been working as a sportswriter with The Reflector, Mississippi State Student Newspaper from 2009 till present.
