What you see Located in Gulbai Tekra in Ahmedabad, Elan boutique looks like a cozy house. In fact, it is small enough for you to miss it. Inside, the pebbled pathway and potted plants add to the feel-at-home flavor. Walk ahead and a wooden door leads you to chic interiors.

What you get Classy is the word that aptly describes Elan. The store showcases designs by Kolkata-based designer Sucheta Merh.

On the first floor of the store, they have footwear, kurtis, clutches and accessories. Black, silver, golden and copper, the colors that are usually associated with weddings, are found in their footwear section. Flats, wedges and high-heeled sandals studded with beautiful stones look elegant and stylish. You can even team them up with a pair of jeans or three-fourths.

Accessories such as earrings, pendants and more are displayed in locked, glass cupboards. Studs, chandeliers and hoops studded with beautiful stones in red, blue and yellow colors make for perfect jewelry for any traditional occasion. They have kundan jewelry and bridal jewelry too. Then there are clutches in silver, copper, purple and other attractive colors. These come in contemporary styles and patterns.

Elan also has kurtis and tops, anarkalis, salwar kameez, churidars etc. The tops and kurtis are intricately designed and beautifully embroidered with beads and stones. The collection comes in attractive colors and prints and is heavily designed and priced accordingly. The store even has lehengas, ghaghras and cholis for your wedding day. The lehengas and ghaghras come in bottle green, ink blue, wine and other elegant looking colors.

Climb down the stairs and you will reach their basement where they have stocked sarees. The sarees come in georgette, silk and even wool. We liked a saree in bottle green color with a great border embedded with stones and sequins. The saree was so heavy that it needed two people to lift it. But the creation was beautiful and tagged at a price of Rs. 1 lakh! Out of your budget? There are some ordinary ones too, the prices of which vary according to the designs and work. These are also in beautiful colors with very stylish yet subtle borders.

Our verdict Elans collection is exquisite and so are the prices. In fact, the prices listed are exclusive of taxes so keep that in mind while you shop. The designs are elegant and the variety is limited perhaps to maintain exclusivity. Trial facility is available. Parking space is not adequate.
