Cigars and spirits are a classic combination and wine offers in a few ways to complement tobacco. Basically the alcohol content of a drink should be stronger when combined with premium cigars. For this reason Scotch and martinis have often been associated with premium Dominican and Cuban tobacco products.



Port wines are typically this election among most aficionados for its higher alcohol by volume. The higher alcohol allows for the tobacco flavor to come through strong with a Cabernet or Merlot where the grapes tend to be the dominant flavor.
