Christmas: A Great Way To Reconnect With Your Relatives

By:

All of us has his or her own unique household memories. The warmest memories tend to be around the holiday gatherings, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving, two occasions of the year when relatives meet to commemorate happiness over spectacular feasts and carefully chosen presents. Family trips also tend to be a hotbed of wonderful memories, the entire family is in a mostly good mood and adventurous sightseeing spirits are high.

Even potentially bad family memories can turn good after some decades has passed. For example, ten years after the fact, that epic fight you got into with your little brother over who got to ride the brand new bike first may appear more hilarious than stressful to you presently, and rightfully so. As it is occurring, day to day childhood happening might be quite stressful, and it is not until we exit the nest, begin lives and households of our own and reminisce on our childhood that we see that those old times were actually the greatest times of all, perfect in their imperfections.

The wonderful thing about intimate families is that they tend to really care for each other through thick and thin, through right and wrong. A stable family unit is a powerful link that might be impossible to sever. The ageless cliche group of sticks analogy is every bit as relevant today. One stick is easy to snap, but a cluster of twigs tied together with twine is solid and durable and indestructible.

Family memories are vital to grasp onto, but more significant still is keeping in close contact with your family on a physical and spiritual level, as it is only through consistent family interaction that fresh new memories can be created, and in these uncertain instances we need all of the fond memories we can get.
