Just what is a Christian Marriage?
"We are both confessed Christian believers that have chosen to enter in to marriage." Is there a whole lot more to actually clearly define marriage?
This entire site happens to be devoted to the point that Christian marriage is certainly quite different. It is very important to learn God's Word that we will better know the foundation of marriage as He planned it. I am convinced that at least one good reason that we have become not successful in marriage is simply because some of us do not have God's vision regarding it.
Let's take a peek at Ephesians 2:21-32 in answering the basic topic given above.

Ephesians 5:21-32 (Today's New International Version)
Advice just for Christian Homes
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, people have never hated their own bodies, but they feed and care for them, just as Christ does the church- 30 for we are members of his body. 31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. 32 This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church.

This particular Scripture reveals a basic commandment to the Christian Marriage:
Wives: Submit to your own husband.
Husbands: Love your wives just like Jesus loved the church.
I found it intriguing that God set absolutely no conditions on this particular commandment for the two . It is necessary to understand that we are going to each be held accountable for each of our own actions. Not to be able to justify the wives by any means, but sadly I believe at least one reason why a number of women have an issue with submission stems from the truth that some of us men do not actually love as Jesus.
None among us have always been successful at satisfying this Christian Marriage requirement, however it has to be an objective we attempt to realize on a daily basis. It is among the crucial distinct factors from a "worldly marriage".

Challenge: Verbally communicate to your husband or wife that you want to spend the next 7-day period paying much closer focus on achieving your own God-given obligation. Keep some sort of diary with crucial occasions for conversation at the conclusion of the week.
