Friend Finder suggests friends for you that you may or may not even like. I clicked
cheap Christian Louboutin Boots Friend Finder once to see how it worked. It suggested I hook up with not only lost family members and high school classmates, but also a crappy straw-boss foreman I had several years ago. The guy was like the Wile E. Coyote of bosses. He tried several elaborate ways to get me fired, but they all blew up in his face like a stick

I ended up quitting anyway.Facebook suggested, too, that I become friends with a woman I know who rolls her eyes in "Oh, it's you," fashion every time she sees me.And somehow, Then I saw that there was a dog among them and I scrapped the idea once and for all. It was one of the all-time memorable comments on getting engaged. "Clock the rocks!" crowed Sarah Ferguson, shortly to become the Duchess of York, as she wafted her ring in front of friends. And a spectacular ring it was, too: made by jewellers Garrard & Co, it contained a whopping great ruby, to match Fergie's flaming hair, surrounded by 10 diamonds set in yellow and white gold.
But times have changed and while diamonds and precious stones remain in vogue for engagement rings, other types of jewellery go much further - indeed, many people believe that they actually have the power to change your life.
Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the recent trend for power bead bracelets - elasticated bangles with wooden or crystal beads - sported by Madonna, Richard Gere, Ricky Martin, various Spice Girls and Robbie Williams, to name but a few. Now a common sight on the high street, they typically cost between GBP14.99 and GBP18.99, which means this is fashion for everyone, not just those with a well-endowed bank account.
"Power bead bracelets have taken off in a big way," confirms Sam Wilson, of bead retailer Gemesis. "Gems and crystals have been used for centuries for their healing qualities because, if you hold them, they can re-energise parts of the body.
"The design is based on Buddhist prayer beads, with 21 8mm beads put on elastic. You choose your stone according to traditional meanings: for example, rose quartz is the stone that encourages love. It rejuvenates the emotions and helps fertility."
