Christian Beliefs V.s Mormonism Beliefs

By:

Mormons are so different from true Christianity - evangelical Protestantism. Why do they say they are Christian?

Although there are many sectors of religion that don't believe in the Mormonism doctrine it would seem that the biggest fight comes from those that are classed as Protestants especially if they happen to be evangelists. The argument here from the Mormons is that this particular group are of the belief that anything that is outside their scope of doctrine is not Christian.

The Mormons will teach that there is one true God and there is still much that can be built on and that if one believes in Christ than they are Christians. Again the argument will come though as to what do they believe in Christ? It has been discussed many times that the Mormons believe Christ, God and the Holy Spirit are three separate entities and not one. They will basically put the argument to rest from the evangelical Protestants as only being one small group and they are basically a minority so really there should not be too much emphasis placed on what this group thinks anyways

Senior leaders of the Latter Day Saints that are purporting the fact Christianity will say that they recognize other Christian groups as well such as the Catholics or the Orthodox where as the Christians will not accept the Catholics as being part of their scope of Christianity.

They will talk as well about their arrogance in relationship with the Latter Day Saints being the church that is to restore true Christianity or the fullness of Christianity.

The Mormons specifically speaking into regards to the leaders retorts to Christianity who are the ones that are responsible or proclaiming their doctorate will not accept the fact that an individual can become a Christian alone just because of their own reading of the Bible.

Didn't the apostle Bruce R. McConkie tell Mormons not to worship Christ at a Sermon given at BYU?

It would seem that at this particular sermon that Bruce was addressing some of the students who had a misconception that they felt that their relationship with Christ was far beyond that of most to pray directly to Christ and that as such they were not following at the commandman of the Bible that says that one just prays to the Father in the name of Christ. What's the purpose of Bruces comments here were to show the students that there was but one God how they should worship and one which is Jesus Christ who is our advocate with God himself. It was not the purpose of Bruce to put down Jesus from being a part of the Godhead.

He was basically setting the chain of command. The doctrine for the Mormons is specific that you must pray to the father in the name of Christ. The word worship itself becomes a play of words as to just exactly what is meant by worship when one refers to it.

Mormons are distressed that many individuals that are against the Mormons have never even attended one of their sacraments of the Latter Day Saints and actually listened to the words of the hymns. If one were to do so then they would automatically know that yes Mormons are true Christians in fact many Mormons believe that if the non-Christians were to do this that they would soon become converted to the Latter Day Saints.
