The web based project management software must also allow users to create their own screen through the use of templates. The templates should allow as many fields as are need and include text, number, drop-down, comments, file upload, date/time, etc.

The software should allow a manager to check on the progress of the project without scrolling through a series of screens, and users should have complete control of their own dashboard.

Managers should also have flexibility to creating their own reports based on the fields wanted and the final look for the report, along with the option of making the reports unique to individual users or shared will all.

Finally, the best web based project management software will have several redundant systems and be monitored around the clock. All data must be backed up in real time for optimum safety and availability.
