Choosing The Hottest Ultra Cool Cursive Tattoo Fonts

By:

With the rapid rise and popularity of tattoos that feature hot quotes, quick sayings and even song or poem lyrics it is no wonder that cursive tattoo fonts have sprung up pretty much everywhere. If you are considering getting a phrase, saying or quote tattooed on your body it is often easier to find the quote and what you want to say then the style you want it written in. The cursive tattoo font that you choose will either make or break your overall tattoo design. Meaning if you find a font that matches well with the quote and have a competent artist design the piece you will end up with a great looking piece of beautiful skin art. However, if you fail to select the right font and end up getting something that does not work well with the quote then you might as well forget the whole thing since it will look horrible. Furthermore choosing the right font might not be that easy at first.

Symbolism and Meaning
The first thing that you need to do is really sit down and spend some time thinking about the written part of your tattoo design and what it says. Is it an uplifting light quote about life that is happy or something that is serious? What is the quote saying and what does it mean? This is important because you will want to match the style of your tattoo font with the saying. For example if you have chosen to get a quote that is a memorial piece for a loved one who has passed then something that is light and has lots of smiley faces with it might not be the right combination. Or something that is light with a bunch of heavy dark lines and an old English script style is not going to work either. So you want to think about what your tattoo quote is saying and go from there. Is it something that is uplifting and light, something that is serious or something else? Try to match the mood and feel of your quote with the tattoo font.

Searching
After you kind of have the rough idea of what you are after for the tattoo you can start looking at font styles. There are numerous ways you can go about doing this. You can of course just go to your local tattoo chop and look through the flash and font styles they have there. This is great because it is quick and easy and you work with a font that is most familiar to the tattoo artists and something this is already done in flash and ready to go. This will all work well to speed up the process of the tattoo design. However, it has some limitations also mainly there will be less font styles and designs then if you look online or though books. Also many of the fonts in the shop have been used over and over again so you might end up with a tattoo that looks a lot like someone else. So to get something more original and unique you will have to spend some time looking for fonts that aren't always used for tattoos already. You can search online at font websites and also at books created for advertising and marketing to find unique font styles. This takes a bit more work which is kind of a downside but you end up with a more original and unique design.

Choosing
Choosing the final font that you are going to work with can be a bit tough. Often you will find a few different styles that might work. The best option is to then take the two or three styles that you like and talk it over with friends or better yet go and work with the tattoo artist who will be doing your final design. He or she will be able to give you advice about which one will look best and also the font he or she is most comfortable working with.

Getting Inked
Last but not least you are now at the final stage and ready to get inked. Again you want to find a good tattoo artist and one that you can work with. Find someone that will listen to your ideas and your input and then let them do their job and design the final tattoo. If you need to make adjustments or modifications don't feel bad and speak up and let them know what works best for you.

Getting a quote, saying, poem or written tattoo design can be a lot of fun. However, it can also be frustrating if you can't find the exact font you want. Instead of rushing the process just to get the tattoo done instead enjoy the adventure and take your time with the design. Realize that you will be wearing the tattoo for the rest of your life and it is something you want to be just right and something you will always be happy with. So relax, take your time and do your research and you will end up with a killer tattoo design.
