Choose Your Bedroom Moving Pack Carefully

By:

According to a recent Internet survey, seventy percent of Americans and fifty percent of the people in the United Kingdom sell their houses and move to new places every six years. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see a large number of moving vans on the roads.

Shifting from one's current house to a completely new locality can prove to be very stressful. This stress can be reduced to a great extent if certain guidelines and standard moving practices are followed. The selection of a good bedroom moving pack is very important.

When one moves out of a house, one cleans out every room and packs their objects.

When one arrives at the bedroom, there is so much stuff to pack that one almost feels dizzy. The pillows, mattresses, pullovers, and the like have to be organised and put into different boxes. Cosmetic items have to be packed separately and kept safely.

A little patience and planning can make this process tension-free. All one has to do is make a list of things and objects that have to be packed together. One can buy cardboard boxes of different sizes to pack various kinds of items.

The pillows have to be tied together and transported directly. No box can hold them because they take up a lot of space. Another idea is to pack the pillows in a box and use the extra space at the sides to pack small items like book cases and fragile items that need a cushioning element. Air pillows can be deflated and stacked on top each other. Bedspreads and blankets need not be packed separately. One can use these to wrap flimsy and important objects. A wardrobe box pack should be used to pack the clothes after folding them, and light blankets, pullovers, jackets, and raincoats can be packed into these boxes.

Most bedrooms have a mini dressing cabinet. Mirrors have to be moved carefully. They should first be wrapped with brown paper and packing tape. Messages like "Glass! Be Careful" should be written on top to indicate to the mover the contents of the packet.

Cosmetic items, deodorants and makeup kits should be put inside small bags. Mattresses and carpets should be rolled and kept separately. They should be moved along with relatively large objects like furniture and refrigerators. Most of the movers don't roll the mattresses themselves. Therefore, one should choose a good mover.

Once the mattress is removed, the cot/bed should be disassembled and the frame and the plywood layers should be transported separately. One should take care to ensure that the small screws and nuts are not lost. Any other furniture like chairs and small tables should be put along with furniture from the other rooms. Weighing machines should be packed in a cardboard box. Wall hangings should be rolled up and picture frames can be stacked diagonally in a carton.

When one starts to pack, they will be amazed at the volume of junk present in the house. To dispose of it, a garage sale or donation to charity is advisable. Non bio-degradable products should be thrown out along with other plastics into special trash bins.

One should classify the items in the master bedroom and children's bedroom's separately. One should also not pile things on top of each other. Advance planning holds the key to a successful move!
