Chiropractor Las Vegas - Back Pain Clinic

If you're currently seeing a chiropractor in Las Vegas, and you're wondering about how long it should take before begin to experience positive results (where the level of pain is beginning to subside) I can tell you, as a Las Vegas chiropractor (unless you've been involved in a serious accident) 80% - 90% of patients will begin to see positive results within two weeks after seeing a chiropractor.

If you're not receiving results within two weeks, it might be time for you to ask your chiropractor what his expectations for you are. Any reputable chiropractor will be able to give you a time-line or plan for what to expect during the course of the treatments, and you want to make sure that your chiropractor is helping you get better as soon as possible.

As a chiropractor, I can tell you that in a two week window (from beginning through the second week) you should definitely begin to notice improvements. And if the chiropractor that you are seeing is not able to give you a reasonable explanation, it might be time for you to consider a second opinion from another chiropractor in Las Vegas.

One question about back pain Las Vegas that I get asked all the time is "what's a good stretch for my low-back pain?" That's a really good question, and what I've found is that there are two muscles that can create a lot of low-back pain, common in Las Vegas, and that is your glut muscles, and your piriformis muscle. Your piriformis muscle is just below the glut muscles. I'm going to give you two different ways to stretch these two muscles.

The first, and most effective way, is to lay down on your back (this is done most commonly on your bed). Lay down, grab one knee, and pull it up to your chest. As you stretch this muscle, you'll feel it stretching in the middle of your glut muscle. Hold that for about 20 seconds, and then pull that knee across your body to the other side, and that's where you're going to feel it more on the side, which is stretching your piriformis muscle. Hold that for 30 seconds. Do that on both sides.

That's the best way to stretch these muscles, but you're not always close to a bed, or a place that you can lay down and do this stretch. If you're at work, and you're getting that tight low-back, you can also do it in your chair. Just cross your leg onto your other leg, and then pull that knee up to your chest. And that, once again, is going to stretch your butt-muscles (the glut and the piriformis). Another way is to sit up straight, with your leg crossed over your other knee. Keep your back nice and straight, and then just lean straight forward. That's going to stretch the same area (the glut and piriformis muscles). That's going to loosen up that low-back pain, and help you manage your low-back pain in Las Vegas.

I have patients at our Las Vegas pain clinic tell me all the time, "oh, it hurts when I do this, but it hurts me all the time, that's just normal...". Well, it is NOT normal. Any type of pain in your body is an alarm - your body is telling you that there is something wrong. This is especially common in Las Vegas. In fact, in many desease processes, pain is the last symptom to show up, and often times, during the treatment, it's the first one to go away. Pain is just an indicator that there's a problem. The sooner you get treatment for the type of pain you're suffering from, the sooner it will go away. The longer you wait, the longer it's going to take to fix, and the longer you'll be suffering with this problem. Any time you start to experience pain, go to your chiropractor and get it checked out. You'll get better faster, and you'll stay better longer.

If you go to a chiropractor's office, they'll perform an examination, take x-rays, and do everything they can to uncover the underlying condition. And then they'll do physical treatments to correct that problem - they'll work on your muscles, they'll align your spine - they'll do the necessary treatments to fix the problems at a Las Vegas pain clinic so your back pain or neck pain will go away and won't come back.
